Carly trained at Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy for 16 years, dancing in over fifty performances including The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, DonQuixote, La Bayadere, and Cinderella. She was on the Dance Company at Salem Hills High school and won Sterling Scholar her senior year. Additional training was received through summer intensives and dance camps with Lifehouse, BYU CDT, LADM, JUMP, NUVO, and master classes with various Ballet companies. Carly discovered a love of teaching early in life as she substituted and assisted at Lifehouse and in private lessons, leading her to found Summit Ballet in Weston, Idaho where she teaches and directs performances. A Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Utah State University enhances her ability to teach correct alignment and injury prevention in ballet. Carly loves many genres of dance and is trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, and lyrical. Teaching allows her to share her love for ballet with an emphasis on positive, safe, and healthy experiences in the dance world.
